I'm a big fan of locally-sourced baked goods. There's a few places in Yakima and the Yakima Valley to grab something along those lines. For the past couple of months, I've heard about this amazing place seated in humble Prosser, Washington. I finally had a chance to stop by and I'm glad I did.

Jade's British Girl Treats on 6th street in downtown Prosser is a place you might blink and drive past it but be sure to stop in as they're a wonderful place to have in our community.

You walk in and are immediately greeted with a few shelves and stands full of treats with a glass case full of freshly made cakes, pastries and more. They also have gelato.

I didn't know what to buy so I got a nice assortment of goodies to bring home. A mini red velvet cake, a couple of red velvet cupcakes, a few of their bars -- they even had ooey gooey butter cake which is a St. Louis staple.

There was also a chocolate case for gourmet chocolates and it seemed like you could also get a pint of gelato to go. Since I still had a drive ahead of me I'll order that next time. At the register they also had some imported UK candy bars as well as locally-made suckers.

I walked out with a smile on my face as I love that we have something like this here and within driving distance. Especially if you're in the lower valley I'd encourage everyone to pop in and check it out.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
