Is Walla Walla Getting a Winco Foods Store?

You may not know the Winco Foods chain now has 141 stores, ranging from WA, OR, CA, and Idaho, to Texas and Oklahoma. Store #2 opened in Kennewick many years ago, located on Clearwater Ave.  The chain began decades ago as Waremart.

Now, Store 142(?) might be coming to Walla Walla.

 Winco applies for site plan review in Walla Walla

The Boise-based company has applied for the review of a 50-acre parcel near the Myra Road South Extension project.  Once the roundabout is finished, it is possible Winco could look to put a store there.

   According to Elkhorn Media, the store would be 84,000 square feet and cover 9.5 acres with a 430-vehicle parking lot.

If it goes forward as planned, there could be a store there by the end of 2026.
